Dingell Statement on Speaker Pelosi's Retirement

Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) released the following statement on the news of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's retirement.

"Nancy Pelosi is one of the toughest, hardest working, most effective leaders in the history of our Congress and our country. She knows and understands the importance of bringing people together and hearing diverse thoughts and perspectives at a time when too many don't. And most importantly - she knows how to get things done. She was a mentor to me. We weren't afraid of difficult conversations; we could disagree strongly but always move forward to deliver for the people. Her career and legacy have made our nation better, and she has set an example of strong and compassionate leadership for generations to come."
