PASADENA, Calif.- The City of Pasadena invites the community to the premiere screening of the oral history documentary Amplify. This powerful 38-minute documentary shares the voices and memories of residents impacted by the construction of the SR-710 Freeway.
The screening is part of the 2nd Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Master Plan Community Engagement Workshop at 10AM - 1PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Pasadena Convention Center. The first screening begins at 10:15 AM in Room 101 with the film re-looping throughout the event. Free parking will be available, with validation provided on-site.
Amplify highlights firsthand stories from individuals and families displaced or affected by the SR-710 Freeway construction. This documentary was created as a lasting historical archive, ensuring future generations remember and learn from this critical chapter in Pasadena's history.
Produced by M.D. Productions and Allegra Consulting, in collaboration with the City of Pasadena, the film is a tribute to resilience, memory, and the importance of community-centered storytelling.

The Reconnecting Pasadena 710 Master Plan Project is a two year effort to reimagine the future after decades of disruption caused by the construction of the SR-710 Freeway. The oral history project aims to uplift the voices of those most affected by documenting oral histories, engaging the public at community engagement workshops, and inclusive planning.
