Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative John McGuire (VA-05), voted for the Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) through the House Committee on Armed Services. This NDAA enhances peace through strength, reforms defense acquisition, improves servicemembers' quality of life, expedites innovation to warfighters, and revitalizes the defense industrial base
"Our warfighters deserve the best, not just on the battlefield, but at home," said Rep. John McGuire. "The Fiscal Year 2026 NDAA invests in better pay, healthcare, housing, and support for our military families. This year's NDAA funds next-gen weapons to ensure America stays ahead of China, Russia, and any foreign adversary. House Armed Services Committee Republicans are delivering on the promise to ensure our military is modern and lethal. The FY 2026 NDAA rebuilds American military power, restores deterrence, and puts America first."
"Congressman McGuire's experience as a former Navy SEAL drives his work to deliver critical investments to ensure our warfighters dominate future battlefields," said Chairman Mike Rogers. "Virginia is home to countless defense innovators and military families, and Congressman McGuire's leadership on the FY26 NDAA makes sure they have the tools and support they need to keep America safe and strong."
