Hartford, Conn. - On Friday, Revolution Wind began delivering affordable, reliable, and renewable offshore wind power to Connecticut. Revolution Wind will supply enough power for 350,000 local homes. This follows two stop work ordersissued by the Trump Administration in 2025. Twice the orders were overturned in court, allowing local workers to return to work and finish the job.

Offshore wind is Connecticut's most abundant renewable energy resource and is recognized as critical to lowering electricity costs, reducing pollution, and improving grid reliability. Multiple analyses have proven that offshore wind will save electric customers by lowering prices and insulating against the price volatility of methane gas. According to a recent reportfrom the Union of Concerned Scientists, power from Revolution Wind will also make our grid more reliable.

"Despite the Trump Administration's attempts to derail clean power to bolster dirty fossil fuels, Revolution Wind has prevailed," said Samantha Dynowski, Sierra Club Connecticut Chapter Director."We are celebrating the arrival of clean, renewable power from Revolution Wind. This is a historic moment in the movement towards more affordable, more resilient and more sustainable energy for Connecticut families, businesses and communities."
