Cybersecurity Tip of the Week – Your Browser Knows More Than You Think

Modern web browsers make life convenient by saving passwords, payment information, addresses, and other personal details. The downside is that anyone with access to your computer may be able to access that information as well. This isn't just a concern about hackers; it could be a curious family member, a guest, a roommate, or someone using your device while you're away. Stored browser passwords can provide access to email, banking, shopping, social media, and other accounts without requiring the user to know your credentials. Instead of relying on your browser to store passwords, consider using a reputable password manager. Password managers encrypt your credentials, require a separate master password, and make it easier to create strong, unique passwords for every account. A little extra security can help ensure that only the right people have access to your digital life.
