Welcome to the second week of Winter Session. As a member of our Monarch Family, we want to highlight some of the services and resources to help you be more successful.

Check Career & Academic Pathways(CAP) to find your CAP Canvas Site for your selected major, and stay connected with the people, places, and LAVC resources that will support you. (This is not a class. There are no grades and no homework!)
Stop by Admissions & Records to get your Student ID Card! Pay for your classes and show your Registration/Fee Receipt to obtain a Student ID in the LAVC Admissions & Records Office (Student Services Center, 1st Floor).
Counseling - Counselors can help identify your educational goal and make sure you take the right classes.
Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) - Provides support services, specialized instruction and educational accommodations.
Career/Transfer Center - Learn about transfer opportunities and career preparation resources.
The LAVC Academic Resource Center offers FREE online and in-person tutoring in English, Math, Statistics 101, and many other subjects. Additional services include weekly workshops, test reviews, study jams, self-instructional handouts, and access to computers and printing through the Computer Commons.
The LAVC Library offers in-person book checkout, study space, and research help; and online access to FREE live help at "Ask A Librarian," online research and reading materials, and FAQ and online "Get Research Help" guides for self-directed learning.
Student Life - Participate in campus activities, join a student club, or find a leadership position in student government (Associated Student Union).
Student Health Center - Access medical and behavioral health care.

CalWORKs - Supports students who are parents and receive TANF (cash aid).
CARE - Provides supplemental support for single parents that receive cash aid.
Child Development Center - A licensed childcare facility for the children of students, staff, faculty and community.
Family Resource Center - Supports parenting students with workshops, playgroups, and events.
Lion Café - Offers coffee. grab-and-go food items, and snacks.
Monarch Campus Store - Offers Subway box lunches, snacks, candy, cold drinks & ice cream.
Campus Vending Machines - Grab-and-go prepared foods and snacks, candy, soft drinks, coffee and more.
Valley Weekly Student Newsletter - Check your campus email every week to learn about campus events, opportunities meet other students, and more!
LAVC Calendar of Events - Find fun and exciting campus event, like Welcome Week, athletic games, concerts, performances, student activities and much more. To add any event to your calendar, click the *** next to the event name and select the "Add to My Calendar" option.
