“OUR HISTORY – OUR SUCCESS”: PRESERVING THE PAST, CREATING THE FUTURE

On October 21, summarized the results of the contest of stories and recollections entitled "Our history - our success", dedicated to the 40^th anniversary of commercial development of Kumkol field.

The main theme of organizing the contest was preserving corporate memory by storytelling about people who stand at the origins of development of enterprise and passing on the experience and traditions of oil workers to future generations.
The contest united employees, who shared their personal memories, historical facts and stories form professional lives. Each work became a unique witness of the time, reflecting different stages of formation and development of the company.
Karin Yesen Koishybayevich, hydrogeologist; Yermekkarayeva Dina Zhanganayevna, senior specialist of finance department; Kurmangaziev Kuat Nysanbayevich, team leader of design documentation of development and production department; Suyunov Nurlan Anesbayevich, team leader of Workover; Niyazova Roza Bakhytzhanovna, translator presented their works.
Dina Yermekkarayeva in her article titled "Bizdin tarih - bisdin jetistik" reflected the career of the honored Power Engineer of RoK - Bolatbek Kapanov, who made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of Kumkol field. Through this story she spoke about key stages of development of energy infrastructure of the field, professionalism, dedication to work and selfless work of the first specialists. She paid special attention to the continuity of generations, respect for veterans and corporate values.

Kuat Kurmangaziev in his article wrote about one of the most difficult periods in the history of "Hurricane Kumkol Munai" company - the crisis of 1998. A sharp decline in world prices for oil, production difficulties and financial instability jeopardized further development of the enterprise. Thanks to resilience of work staff, proper management decisions, cost optimization and search for new strategic directions, the company could overcome the crisis, strengthen its position and lay foundation for future growth. The story reflects the power of professionalism, unity and purposefulness on the path from serious challenges to new achievements.

Nurlan Suyunov shared his recollections about beginning his career at Kumkol field, introducing with colleagues and forming strong friendship during the development of the field. Through the events of 1989-1992 he revealed peculiarities of oilman works at that time, production challenges, unity of staff, professional dedication and selfless labor of pioneers of oil industry. For the author the Kumkol is not just a workplace but symbol of youth, true friendship and signiciant contribution in development of oil industry of the country.

Roza Niyazova shared her recollections of her work years in "Hurricane Kumkol Munai" company where she joined in 1996. Through interesting stories from professional life, she revealed the peculiarities of company formation, specifics of work with Canadian colleagues. A special place was given to vivid stories related to a Kazakh national tradition and introducing foreign specialists with the culture of Kazakhstan. This is a heartfelt story about people, time, professional formation and mutual respect, becoming a living chapter in the history of the company.

Selecting the best stories was not a simple task. All participants infused personal experience, sincere emotions and respect to the history of the company into their stories.

The contest "Our history - our succes" once again confirmed: the history of the company lives in recollections of our employees. Preserving the past, we strengthen relation of generations and create the foundation for the future. As the main value of any company is its people, their work, experience and dedication to the common goal.
