County Commissioners announce bridge repairs between Sea Girt and Spring Lake starting in March

SEA GIRT/SPRING LAKE, NJ - The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners announced that repairs for Bridge W-27 on First Avenue between Sea Girt and Spring Lake will begin during the week of March 2.

"The essential bridge repairs will begin the week of March 2 and take approximately 10 weeks to complete," said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Division of Engineering. "The planned work will address necessary repairs to the spandrel walls on the concrete arch and include replacement of an aging pylon. These improvements will strengthen the bridge, enhance durability, and extend its service life."

"We ask drivers to follow all posted signs during construction. We appreciate the public's patience as we work on this important project," Commissioner Director Arnone continued.

In total, Monmouth County maintains approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts, and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
