Water Supply Update

Thanks to a strong rainy season and healthy snowpack, our local water supply outlook is looking good this spring. As of the end of April:

  • Statewide: California's precipitation is 112% of the average year.
  • County-wide: Contra Costa County is not experiencing drought conditions.
  • CCWD: Contra Costa Water District's Los Vaqueros Reservoir is 91% full.

This is welcome news, and a great reminder of how vital water is to our community. May is Water Awareness Month, and we encourage customers to continue using water wisely. Every gallon we save is a gallon that remains in Los Vaqueros Reservoir, which protects us during future dry years. Even small changes at home can make a big difference when it comes to making the most of every drop.

We're here to help! Check out our rebates and coupons for water-efficient programs to save you water and money. Thanks to our customers for being a part of a water-smart community. Let's keep the momentum going!
