Prime Minister congratulates Francisco Carvalho on winning the elections in Cape Verde

The Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro congratulated Francisco Carvalho on winning the elections in Cape Verde and praised "the democratic fondness of all Cape-Verdeans" in the country's new political stage.

In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister reiterated that "Portugal is fully available to continue working and cooperation with a sibling country", stressing the historical ties and common goals to both countries.

Luís Montenegro also noted that Portugal and Cape Verde share priorities such as "greater development, more prosperity and growth", indicating the importance of the bilateral cooperation between both States.
