Metro Action Commission Hosts Community Digital Resource Event in Partnership with Metro ITS and Local Organizations

On Thursday, March 19, the Metropolitan Action Commission (MAC) will host a special community engagement event highlighting digital resources, training opportunities, and essential services available to Davidson County residents. The event will also feature several of MAC's trusted community partners.

In 2024, Metro Government's Digital Learning and Advancement Program received a $1.9 million grant from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to expand digital opportunity initiatives across the city. Through this investment, Metro ITS funded digital infrastructure upgrades at MAC's headquarters and Customer Care Center, allowing the agency to serve as a community hub for internet-based programs, technology access, and outreach services.

"Expanding digital access isn't just about technology-it's about opportunity," said Jamekia Bies, Director of the Metropolitan Action Commission. This investment ensures that more Nashville families have what they need to fully participate in today's digital world."
