Green Cay Nature Center is located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road, west of Boynton Beach. For more information on county-operated nature centers, visit www.pbcnature.com. All programs are by online reservation only unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com. Under "Online Services," click on Register/Pay for Program or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation and educate the community on health and wellness.

SCIENCE FOR SENIORS - TRACKING KITES DOCUMENTARY AND COMMENTARY

A special viewing of Tracking Kites, a documentary about Swallow-tailed Kites, their epic migration and the local science helping us better understand and conserve this "forgotten bird." The event will include an introduction, behind-the-scenes commentary and insights into the film. Guest presenter: Benji Studt, PBC ERM Environmental Program Supervisor.

Coral reefs are some of the oldest and most diverse ecosystems on Earth. But corals, the ancient animals that make up these reefs, are threatened by various types of pollution. Join me for a talk about the threats corals face and what we can do to conserve them. Guest presenter: Emily Rademacher, Green Cay Assistant Naturalist.

Join a naturalist on a nighttime boardwalk tour looking at nature from the point of view of its nocturnal residents. Flashlights are recommended but not required.
SCIENCE FOR SENIORS - BECOME A NATURE DETECTIVE: PLANTS AND BUTTERFLIES

Become a nature detective by sharpening your senses and uncovering nature's hidden secrets in this interactive indoor and outdoor experience. Explore how butterflies use camouflage and mimicry to survive, enjoy hands-on sensory activities with plants and finish with a guided walk through our native Butterfly Garden to observe pollinators in action. Guest presenters: Ron Seifer, Green Cay Docent & Nancy Feldman-Saylor, Butterfly Gardener.
ARCHERY 101

Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required, limit 12)
Join a USA Archery-certified Instructor to learn the basics of archery and develop a fun new skill! This 1.5-hour program will start with a demonstration followed by target practice! All equipment is provided; please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and sun protection, as it takes place outdoors.
