Crowell & Moring Partner Jennie Wang VonCannon Named to Daily Journal’s 2025 Top White Collar Lawyers List

Los Angeles - December 10, 2025: Crowell & Moring partner Jennie Wang VonCannon has been named to the Daily Journal's 2025 Top White Collar Lawyers list. The annual list recognizes "California's most influential and effective white collar defense practitioners of the year."

VonCannon is a partner in Crowell's White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement and Privacy and Cybersecurity groups. She is widely recognized as a technology trial lawyer and advisor, with more than two decades of courtroom and boardroom experience. She served more than eleven years as a federal prosecutor, including as Deputy Chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section of the National Security Division in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.

The Daily Journal highlights VonCannon's unique ability to combine "her prosecutorial background with technical expertise in cybersecurity and emerging technologies." The publication also noted her recent representation of a family whose son was falsely accused of rape. Using her forensic investigative skills, VonCannon analyzed digital evidence and compiled a package for law enforcement that resulted in a declination of charges.

In the same issue, VonCannon also published an article entitled "Mitigating insider risk: Legal leadership in a new era of threats," in which she discussed the risks posed by malicious actors' use of artificial intelligence to infiltrate U.S. companies.

VonCannon's practice spans corporate defense in criminal and civil matters, cybersecurity, and intellectual property issues. She assists clients with crisis management involving litigation, internal investigations, regulatory and law enforcement inquiries, and cybersecurity and privacy incidents.

VonCannon is a Certified AI Governance Professional, advising both developers and users of AI and emerging technologies on risk management and regulatory compliance to maximize innovation. VonCannon is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional and a founding member and former chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Privacy and Cybersecurity Section. She currently serves as the President-Elect and life member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
