Statement from Senator Warren on the D.C. Circuit's Agreeing to Hear CFPB Case En Banc

Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, released the following statement on the D.C. Circuit's agreeing to hear the CFPB case en banc:

"Good news: the full D.C. Circuit just agreed to review the case challenging the Trump Administration's illegal attempt to destroy the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. That means Russ Vought still can't carry out his lawless plan to "close down" the agency that has returned more than $21 billion directly to Americans scammed by big banks and giant corporations. The courts must follow the law, or families across the country will pay the price."
