Career Out Program

Lewisville Parks and Recreation (PARD) recently hosted four students from Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) as part of the district's Career Out Program at Thrive.

The Career Out Program provides LISD juniors and seniors with opportunities to visit local organizations to explore career paths and learn about workplace environments and job duties.

During their visit to Thrive, students rotated through key areas of the facility, including aquatics, fitness, operations, and program services. Thrive staff introduced students to the roles and responsibilities involved in supporting community recreation and wellness initiatives, giving participants insight into potential careers in parks and recreation.

The Career Out experience is part of PARD's efforts to engage with local schools and support workforce development by exposing students to a variety of career opportunities.
