Dive into servicew with Junior Lifeguards
Dive into a fun, summer volunteer opportunity where you'll learn lifesaving techniques and develop leadership skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. Tempe Junior Lifeguard registration opens today, Feb. 17, and closes April 11.
Tempe's Junior Lifeguard program runs June 1 through July 19. It is open to ages 13-15 years. Junior Guards will volunteer approximately 10-15 hours per week and attend weekly two-hour trainings. Over the course of the summer, volunteers will be introduced to real lifeguard duties including CPR, first aid, guest safety practices, facility maintenance, assisting with pool programming and interacting with the guests.
Junior Guards will also have the opportunity to become CPR/AED and First Aid certified through Ellis and Associates.
