BLUMENTHAL STATEMENT ON CUTS TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD TITLE X FUNDING
HARTFORD, CT] - U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal released a statement following news that the Trump Administration has cut $2 million in Title X funding to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England.
"Tens of thousands of people in Connecticut rely on Planned Parenthood for essential and affordable health care services - now jeopardized by the Trump Administration's withholding of Title X funds," said Blumenthal. "The consequences of this cruel and craven decision will touch thousands of patients' lives making it more difficult to get cancer screenings, birth control and other preventative care. I stand with Planned Parenthood as they continue providing critical health care services and will keep fighting to expand access to care for all Americans."
