Amazon Kicks Off Christmas Flash Sale, Running Through December 25

1. Amazon has launched its **Christmas Flash Sale**, which will run until 11:59 PM on December 25 and may mark the platform's final major promotion of the year. While the number of participating products is lower than that of Black Friday, the digital home appliance sector still features discounts from several top brands, including Anker, CIO and Sanbo Direct. Among them, Anker's Nebula series of portable projectors have been included in the promotion list. Coinciding with the year-end holiday shopping season, they are expected to become a consumer favorite. This Christmas flash sale covers discounts across a wide range of product categories, offering consumers a pre-holiday shopping opportunity.

Argentina Scraps Tariffs on Low-value Imports, Chinese E-commerce Parcels Surge 237%

2. Argentine consumers are turning to Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Shein and Temu amid high domestic inflation. Data shows that in October, the number of types of Chinese imported goods in Argentina exceeded 4,000, hitting a new monthly record, while the volume of online parcels surged 237% year-on-year. The Argentine government has recently rolled out a series of policies to boost cross-border shopping, including eliminating tariffs on imports under $400, simplifying customs clearance procedures and abolishing the import license system. Local retailers have complained that Chinese platforms enjoy an unfair advantage in price competition as they are exempt from import duties, operate without physical stores and benefit from subsidized logistics services. The rapid growth of Chinese e-commerce platforms in the Argentine market has now exerted a significant impact on the country's local retail landscape.

Monthly Active Users of China's Top 3 Cross-border E-commerce Platforms Surpass Local Fashion Rivals in South Korea

3. Chinese e-commerce platforms AliExpress, Temu and Shein are expanding rapidly in the South Korean market. Data indicates that as of September, AliExpress's monthly active users (MAUs) reached 9.16 million, rising further to 9.921314 million in October, significantly narrowing the gap with ABL, South Korea's leading local platform. Temu's MAUs hit 8.21 million, surpassing domestic platform Zigzag (4.09 million); Shein recorded 2.83 million MAUs, also overtaking Quinit (2.7 million). Notably, Shein's user base has skyrocketed 366% year-on-year, surging from 449,569 in January to 1,983,555 in November, achieving a more than fourfold growth within 11 months. The combined user volume of these three Chinese platforms has exceeded the total number of users of major local South Korean fashion platforms including Zigzag and Quinit, demonstrating their strong competitiveness in terms of low-price strategies and targeted product selection.
