New Giving Events Marks MU’s Anniversary: One Day Give 2026

On April 17, 2026 - its founding day - Millersville University will be 171 years old. This historic occasion also marks the final day of giving for One Day Give 2026.

In the past, One Day Give was the University's 24 hour online fundraising day. Last year's event raised more than $1 million in gifts and pledges.

The eventreturns this spring on April 16 and 17 with an expanded 27 total hours of giving that includes the Extraordinary Give in November of 2025, which supported the Ware Center for Arts; Marauders Day of Giving, held on Feb. 26, 2026, and dedicated to supporting athletics; and finally, One Day Give, which focuses on scholarships for students.

The year's multi-day event culminates in the first annual Presidential Gala - an invite-only event to honor leadership, philanthropy and the transformative power of education.

As is tradition, One Day Give features several giveaways for donors. A limited number of exclusive socks created for the event are available to community members who make a gift of $25 or more on April 16 or 17, and students can take home a pair of Millersville sunglasses with a gift of $10 or more. There will also be online giving and match challenges and celebration stations - areas where people can make a gift to the University - throughout the campus.
