Tax Day Highlights Pro Manufacturing Tax Provisions that Strengthen America’s Chemical Industry

WASHINGTON (April 15, 2026) - This Tax Day, the American Chemistry Council (ACC) is recognizing important tax policy improvements included in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act - also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill - that help strengthen U.S. chemical manufacturing, support domestic investment, and enhance America's global competitiveness.

Chemical manufacturers are the backbone of America's manufacturing economy, supplying essential materials for vital sectors such as AI, semiconductors, defense, and more. Key tax provisions in the law - such as incentives for capital investment and research and development - provide greater certainty for long-term investment, enabling chemical companies to expand production, modernize facilities, and innovate here in the United States.

On Tax Day, ACC applauds the Administration and Republican members of Congress for advancing these tax policies that reward domestic manufacturing, bolster U.S. competitiveness, and reinforce the chemical industry's role in building a stronger, more resilient economy.
