March 18, 2026

ASPPH invites students and those considering careers in public health to join the next ASPPH Presents webinar, TIPH Ambassador Alumni: Share Your Public Health Story, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM ET. This live conversation will feature alumni of the This Is Public Health® (TIPH) Ambassador Program reflecting on the experiences that shaped their journeys into public health.

Moderated by Lady Dorothy Elli, MPH, public health researcher, Princeton in Asia Fellow, and former TIPH Ambassador, the discussion will bring together former TIPH ambassadors who now work across a range of public health roles. Panelists will share how they first discovered the field, how graduate training in public health shaped their career paths, and the skills they developed through their education and professional experiences.

The panel will include Jared Christian, MPH, Vanderbilt University; Fatoumata Diallo, MPH, AbsoluteCare; Hayat Naqvi, MPH, Penn Medicine; Mitch Ryba, MPH, CHES, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; and Meredith Smith, MPH, CDC Foundation.

Through their stories, participants will gain insight into the diverse career opportunities in public health and the real-world skills, from data analysis and program planning to policy and community engagement, that support impactful work in the field.
