A ceremony of presenting credentials to the President of Kazakhstan by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of nine countries took place at the Palace of Independence№ю
The credentials were presented by Igor Moldovan, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova; Nguyen Thanh Le, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Jung Ki-Hong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea; Lungisane Ntombela, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa; Ľubomír Rehák, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic; Heike Renate Peitsch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany; Alimirzamin Askerov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Branko Rakovec, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia; and Monica Ndilyavike, Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia.
Welcoming the diplomats, the President emphasized the commitment of our country to a peaceful foreign policy.
- As far as you know, Kazakhstan is pursuing a very peaceful external policy in this very complex geopolitical context. But anyway, we believe that peace must prevail. And we'll be doing our best in order to sustain peace, security, and cooperation here in Central Asia and beyond, - the President underlined.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed the ceremony participants about Kazakhstan's economic potential and its success in attracting foreign investment.
- We are doing our utmost in order to attract foreign investments to our country. And, of course, we welcome all foreign entrepreneurs, as well as big companies, to come here to be present. As far as you know, all major international companies are present in our market. I believe that this basic policy will have a follow-up. We will continue pursuing so-called the "open doors" policy as far as foreign investments are concerned, - the Head of State said.
Furthermore, the President highlighted the far-reaching political reforms currently underway in Kazakhstan. He expressed his confidence that these profound transformations would open up new opportunities for strengthening cooperation with the international community.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed the interest of Astana in enhancing its relations and developing multifaceted cooperation with the countries represented by the ambassadors. He also conveyed warm greetings to the leaders of their respective states.
