Glendale Announces Winners of Second Annual Winter Decorating Contest

Glendale, CA - This holiday season, the City of Glendale hosted its Second Annual Winter Decorating Contest, inviting residents and local businesses to showcase their holiday spirit and help brighten neighborhoods across the city. The submissions from throughout Glendale, displayed classic seasonal décor to elaborate, music-synchronized productions that transformed front yards and storefronts into full holiday experiences.

"This contest is a fun way to celebrate the season, recognize the effort behind these displays, and appreciate the pride residents and businesses take in making Glendale feel festive and welcoming," said Mayor Ara Najarian

Each entry reflected a unique story and a meaningful investment of time and care. Some participants crafted handmade paintings and family-built décor over multiple evenings, while others showcased advanced lighting designs featuring more than 5,000-pixel lights and 14,000 channels of data, precisely programmed to match accompanying music.

Entries were reviewed through a two-part judging process. Volunteer judges visited participating locations to evaluate displays across contest categories. Glendale City Council also selected its own "City Council's Choice" honorees, with Councilmembers stopping by participating locations for in-person viewing as part of their selections.
