Honda Confirms Third-Generation Ridgeline Midsize Pickup with More Rugged Design, Arriving Within Two Years

July 23, 2026 - TORRANCE, Calif.
  • Honda confirmed development of third-generation Honda Ridgeline, the next version of the company's award-winning midsize pickup
  • Third-generation Ridgeline is being designed in the Honda Southern California styling studio and engineered at the Honda Auto Development Center in Ohio
  • New Honda Ridgeline will continue to be built at the Honda Alabama Auto Plant
  • Production of current 2026 Honda Ridgeline will pause later this year as Honda prepares for the new model

Honda today confirmed development of the third-generation Honda Ridgeline, the next version of its midsize pickup, set to come to market within two years. Designed at the company's styling studio in Southern California, and engineered in Ohio, the new Honda Ridgeline will feature an even more rugged design. In preparation for the new model, production of the current 2026 Honda Ridgeline will pause later this year.

"The next Ridgeline, which will continue to be built by our associates in Alabama, will advance this legacy while gaining even more rugged design and capabilities."

The third-generation Honda Ridgeline will continue to be built exclusively at the Honda Alabama Auto Plant, which currently manufactures the second-generation Honda Ridgeline, Honda Passport, Honda Pilot and Honda Odyssey, using domestic and globally-made parts.
