Amata Highlights National Nurses Week
Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Uifa'atali Amata is highlighting National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Nurses Day.

"This year, the American Nurses Association chose the theme, 'the power of nurses.' That's a great way to think of our strong nurses, who work hard, spend long days on their feet, overcome challenges to help patients, and as the theme indicates, they have the power to make our entire health system better through their dedication and expertise.
"A special thank you to each one of you. Nurses demonstrate attentive care and kindness, often managing the pressure of heavy responsibilities. A nurse's work is an important calling of love! The truth is we all depend on a nurse at some point in our lives, as will our loved ones, and we are thankful for their knowledge and training as we put trust in their efforts.
"God bless each nurse and your caring heart this National Nurses Week!"
