Cooling Centers - Heat Wave
The City of Pomona offers Cooling Centers where residents are welcomed to visit to relieve themselves from the summer heat. Cooling Centers are free and open to all residents and service animals.
Visit one of Pomona's Cooling Centers:
Pomona Public Library - 625 S Garey Ave
Mon - Thurs: 12pm - 7pm
Sat: 11am - 5pm
Palomares Park Community Center - 499 E Arrow Hwy
Mon - Thurs: 10am - 6pm
⚠️ High temperatures pose a high risk for heat illness - especially for young children, seniors, outdoor workers, and those without A/C.
Stay safe and cool:
Drink plenty of fluids
Stay in air-conditioned spaces when possible
Take frequent rest breaks in shade or cool areas if working outside
