Greenberg Traurig Amsterdam Expands Tax Practice with 4 New Colleagues

AMSTERDAM - 2 Oct. 2024 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Amsterdam office welcomes four new lawyers, with Partner Wesley Boldewijn, Senior Associates Aukje Strik and Thomas de Booij, and Associate Alexander van Rijckevorsel van Kessel joining the Tax Practice from Dentons.

Boldewijn is a tax lawyer who focuses on international tax law and advises clients on corporate taxation in an international context, withholding taxes, and taxation of the digital economy, among other areas. He also assists clients with strategic advice on complex domestic and international restructurings, market launches, IP transfers, mergers and acquisitions, and tax disputes. Boldewijn has a particular focus on the taxation of the digital economy, advising companies in the technology sector but also supporting companies going through the transformation to the new economy.

Strik is a tax lawyer with deep experience in international tax law. She focuses on corporate tax, withholding taxes, and the international and EU law aspects thereof. Strik advises companies on complex national and international reorganisations, setting up and maintaining international group structures and mergers and acquisitions. Strik is also experienced in international IP transfers, winding up bankruptcies, and applying for tax reliefs for clients. She regularly works with tax authorities in dispute resolution.

de Booij is a tax lawyer who focuses on national and international tax law. He advises, among others, large (family) investment funds, scale-ups, and multinationals in various sectors. He counsels companies on complex national and international reorganisations, setting up and maintaining international group structures, and mergers and acquisitions. De Booij has deep experience in tax advice surrounding the entry of foreign companies into the European market.

van Rijckevorsel van Kessel is a tax lawyer who focuses on national and international tax law. He has experience advising on international restructurings and international taxation of the digital economy.
