Guatemala's coffee sector demonstrates steady growth, with production forecast at 3.13 million 60-kg bags of green bean equivalent (GBE) in marketing year (MY) 2026/27, representing a 3 percent increase from MY 2025/26. Approximately 30 percent of cultivated Arabica hybrids are rust-tolerant and produce high-quality coffee, with 81 percent of exports classified as strictly hard beans. The United States remains Guatemala's leading export market, accounting for 42 percent of total exports. Exports in MY 2026/2027 are forecast at 2.88 million 60-kg bags.
