At PagerDuty.org, our commitment to driving positive impact through technology continues to evolve as the world's challenges grow more urgent and interconnected. This year, we're deepening our investments in innovative tech solutions such as Watch Duty , piloting Carbon Offsets for employee commuting in partnership with Beneficial Returns , and continuing our investments in Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to address some of the most pressing needs around climate.
Climate change is an issue that connects everyone on the planet-one that intersects deeply with health and community resilience. One of our key focus areas will be organizations and initiatives at the forefront of climate technology, disaster response, and sustainability. By backing solutions that deliver real-time wildfire alerts, reduce our own carbon footprint, and accelerate the transition to renewable energy, we're working to create a more sustainable and equitable future.
Through our collaboration with Beneficial Returns, we're proud to support entrepreneurial partners like Estufas Chispa and Ecofiltro -organizations delivering clean cookstoves and water filtration solutions to communities across Latin America. These efforts not only reduce carbon emissions but also improve health outcomes and economic opportunities for families in underserved regions.
PagerDuty takes a holistic partnership approach by providing funding, technical expertise, storytelling, amplification, and employee engagement to support these organizations. We believe that by investing in climate resilience and supporting communities most impacted by environmental hazards, PagerDuty can help build a healthier world.

Scaling Watch Duty's Life-Saving Alerts with Tech Infrastructure and Unrestricted Funding
Watch Duty delivers life-saving emergency information when it's needed most. Powered by a lean team of 20 staff and 200+ volunteer firefighters, first responders, engineers, radio operators, and fire spotters, Watch Duty is a nonprofit that delivers hyperlocal, real-time disaster updates to over six million users across 22 states.
The PagerDuty Operations Cloud is fundamental to Watch Duty's incident management and on-call operations , enabling coordinated emergency response and reliable system uptime during rapidly changing fire conditions and peak app usage.
Watch Duty is at a pivotal moment, poised to scale its trusted model to reach more people across more hazards and locations throughout the U.S. and globally. PagerDuty.org funding will accelerate the organization's growth and strategic priorities: making Watch Duty an essential pre-disaster app, expanding its proven wildfire system to cover other disasters, including floods and earthquakes, and strengthening its internal infrastructure for scalable, efficient, and resilient long-term operations.
"PagerDuty has been instrumental in our operations from day one. Their platform keeps our systems running when it matters most. Now, through PagerDuty.org's support, we can accelerate our vision of making Watch Duty a national, all-hazards platform. This funding helps us move from reactive disaster response to proactive community preparedness."

Helping Social Enterprises Scale Up Low-Carbon Technologies with Beneficial Returns
Over the past two years, PagerDuty has partnered with Beneficial Returns, an impact investment fund, to support the growth of social enterprises that use market-based solutions to reduce poverty and protect the environment. Today, we're proud to expand our partnership by collaborating with two of the Guatemala-based social enterprises in our partners' ecosystem, Ecofiltro and Estufas Chispa.
Ecofiltro is a water purification technology that helps Guatemalan families access safe drinking water without the traditional purification method of boiling it with firewood; preventing the harvesting and burning of firewood saves 215 tons of carbon dioxide-equivalents (CO 2 e) per family per year. Estufas Chispa produces highly efficient cookstoves, cutting in more than half the amount of firewood used by rural Guatemalans who depend on it for cooking staples like tortillas. Each Estufas Chispa cookstove prevents at least four tons of CO 2 e over its five-year lifespan, and its 140 Guatemalan employees produce 210 stoves per day.
PagerDuty is providing a unique approach to financing for both Ecofiltro and Estufas Chispa to help them scale their operations, generating both carbon abatements through their low-carbon technologies and societal benefits through improved health outcomes and opportunities for rural entrepreneurs.
Instead of buying carbon offsets directly, PagerDuty is investing in these two social enterprises to help them expand their low-carbon operations. While these investments will not count toward PagerDuty's official carbon reporting , the resulting carbon savings will more than offset the increased emissions from PagerDuty employees commuting under the new hybrid work schedule. Essentially, PagerDuty is choosing to directly fund impactful projects rather than just purchase credits, creating greater carbon reductions and societal value.
Continuing our Support for Renewable Energy that Achieves our Business, Sustainability, and Impact Goals
PagerDuty has set science-aligned climate targets validated by the Science-Based Targets Institute (SBTi) and developed a decarbonization roadmap to achieve these targets. Part of this roadmap requires matching our electricity consumption with qualified Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
We are proud to share that we are partnering with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) once again to simultaneously invest in environmental and social benefits through their Stacked REC portfolio . These Stacked RECs serve to:
We further augmented our Stacked REC purchase with a philanthropic donation to the Tribal Renewable Energy Fund from the PagerDuty.org fund. Tribal renewable energy programs provide much-needed energy independence, resilience, and reduced energy costs to tribal nations while supporting hands-on workforce development and local STEM education. Our investment in the Tribal Renewable Energy Fund allows Indigenous people to retain the environmental attributes of the renewable energy generated on Indigenous Lands.
At PagerDuty.org, we empower mission-driven teams to build a more equitable world and sustainable future. We understand this work requires a commitment to both innovation and long-term systems change, which is why we continue to invest in tech-forward organizations working to solve intractable challenges.
