Murphy Statement on DOJ's Meritless Suit Against Connecticut

HARTFORD, CT-U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) released the following statement in response to the Department of Justice's meritless lawsuit against Connecticut after the state refused to provide voters' private information to the Trump administration:

"This lawsuit has nothing to do with election security - it's just another power grab by a president who thinks he's above the law. Connecticut is not going to be bullied by this administration and their bogus claims about voter fraud. I'm glad to see our state stand up to protect the privacy of Connecticut voters and hope the courts recognize that this lawsuit is completely meritless."
