GREENVILLE, N.C. (1/16/2026) - East Carolina University's Office of Continuing Professional Education will hold a spring kickoff event for its Lifelong Learning Program on Friday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will take place in ECU's Willis Building, 300 E. First St., Greenville. Participants will meet instructors, learn about upcoming courses, connect with fellow LLP members, and register for spring offerings in person.
The Lifelong Learning Program at ECU provides adults in eastern North Carolina with affordable, engaging and stress-free learning opportunities, without entrance requirements, exams or grades. Participants enjoy stimulating courses, workshops, lectures, trips and more, all designed to connect, engage and inspire.
The program began offering courses to adults and seniors in 2011.
Special events and trips will include "Tarboro Brewing Tour and Tasting: From Grain to Glass;" "Neyuherú·kęʼ Wampum Belt Lecture;" "Aging Smart with AI: How to Become a Prompting Pro;" "Your Guide to Confident Care: Navigating Options for Every Stage of Senior Living;" and an excursion to Shackleford Banks for a "Wild Horse and Shelling Safari."
