SIIA Supports Procurement Reforms in the FY2026 NDAA

The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) joined a coalition of 51 organizations urging Congressional leaders and NDAA conferees to preserve three critical procurement reform provisions in the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). These measures would increase efficiency, expand opportunities for small businesses, and strengthen federal agencies' ability to access innovative technologies.

Specifically, the letter supports raising the Micro-Purchase and Simplified Acquisition Thresholds and allowing advance payments for commercial services. Together, these reforms would modernize federal procurement practices, save taxpayer dollars, reduce administrative burdens, and create new pathways for small businesses to work with government agencies.
