Passaic Vicinage to Hold Recovery Court Graduation

The Passaic Vicinage will hold a graduation ceremony for 24 participants of its recovery court program on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 9:30 a.m. at Passaic County Community College, 1 College Blvd., Paterson.

Recovery Court Judge Miguel de la Carrera will preside. Assignment Judge Rudolph A. Filko and Criminal Division Presiding Judge Sohail Mohammed will speak.

The Judiciary's recovery court program operates within the Superior Court to address non-violent drug-related cases. The program requires completion of several phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery. Recovery court programs are rigorous, requiring intensive probation supervision, treatment, frequent drug testing, and regular court appearances.

The vicinage's recovery court program has more than 200 participants.
