Let us know online or in person about proposed spots for eleven new bike share docking stations - racks where users can rent and return bikes and e-bikes for one-way trips across Berkeley, Oakland, and Emeryville.

These 11 new stations would expand Berkeley's current network of 37 docking stations, offering a low-maintenance, theft-resistant way to get around by bike.

With Bay Wheels stations distributed across the City, bike share can also help you and others bridge a barrier to mass transit known as "the last mile" - the distance from a BART station or AC Transit stop to someone's home.

Weigh in on the proposed locations at our May 14 community meeting or by an online survey that closes on May 21, 2025 at 11:59 pm. The finalized locations will begin installation this summer.

shared mobility tools include low-income options

Shared electric scooters and Bay Wheels bikes make it easier for people of all ages and incomes to move across Berkeley.

Bay Wheels, as well as the electric scooter companies Veo and Lime, each provide discounted memberships for income-qualified residents.

Scooter and bike share users can use the City's growing network of cycle tracksbike pathways and bike boulevards, while also avoiding the hassles of parking and traffic. They can also be the quickest way to move around Berkeley.

Help finalize the 11 new bike share stations for Berkeley by coming to the meeting or filling out the survey. Those who participate in either can also enter for a chance to win a free month of a Bay Wheels membership and a $15 ride credit.

Come to our May 14 in-person meeting or complete the online survey by 11:59 pm on May 21.
