Enjoy your summer and visit WWU's Lakewood Waterfront Facility on Lake Whatcom! Lakewood Boathouse is open for the summer quarter on June 23. Hours are from 12:00pm to 7:30, seven days per week, Monday through Sunday.

Summer Sailing Basics Lessons for Students & Alumni and Staff/Faculty are taught by boathouse student staff. Sign up for this series of four lessons that will take you through the basics of sailing smallboats. Instruction will happen on shore and on the Lake aboard WWU's fleet of 14-foot trainer dinghies. After attending all four lessons, most students will have sufficient expertise to continue to sail at Lakewood and progress their skills independently or with family & friends. No prior sailing or water experience is required! For disability accommodations, fee waiver requests, or general questions, please contact [email protected].
