Notice of Application to Acquire a Controlling Interest

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on July 15, 2025, Aniak Light and Power Company, Inc. (ALPC) filed an application to allow Michael J. Demandel to acquire about thirty-three percent ownership interest in ALPC. ALPC holds Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 5 for the provision of electric service in Aniak, Alaska. The acquisition will not result in a change of management, personnel, or utility equipment. Docket No. U-25-024 was opened to address this matter.

No motion for waiver or petition for confidential treatment were filed with ALPC's application. The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete by August 5, 2025.
