Birmingham Jewellery Quarter-based precious metal specialist, The Betts Group, has launched its new 3D Wedding Ring Designer - an interactive digital platform that allows users to create fully bespoke rings in real time.
Built with the independent retailer in mind, the 3D Wedding Ring Designer blends 360-degree imagery with adjustable design capabilities, allowing wedding rings to be created to exacting specifications.
Adjustments can be quickly and efficiently made to the profile, width, and depth of rings, with users also being able to choose between precious metal alloys, two-tone combinations, stone-setting, custom laser engraving, and bespoke finishes. Highlights include the ability to adjust ring widths and dimensions in 0.1-millimetre increments and seamless switching between ring options without needing to 'restart' the design process.
At every stage, users can see a high-resolution 3D visualisation of the final piece, giving retail sales associates and their customers control and peace of mind.
To enhance its usability for business owners, The Betts Group has kept its new web-based interface free of unnecessary branding or labelling. Retailers can sign in and use the 3D Wedding Ring Designer as a helpful sales tool without needing to integrate the platform into their existing websites.
The Betts Group Head of Business Development for Bridal, David Fletcher, says,
"This development reflects a shift in consumer expectations towards greater personalisation, transparency and interactive buying experiences. The 3D Wedding Ring Designer complements our strong stocked offering of plain wedding bands with a more creative and design-led solution, ensuring retailers can capture sales that might otherwise be lost when standard options don't meet expectations."
The 3D Wedding Ring Designer was first showcased at the Retail Jeweller Festival in March 2026, giving guests a first look at the platform before its formal release. Feedback was wholly positive, with retailers remarking upon its ease of use, high-quality visuals, and helpful features that aid the sales process.
Fletcher continues,
"Showcasing this first iteration of the 3D Wedding Ring Designer to independent retailers was a great experience. We have designed this system to fit naturally into a retail environment, complete with quick configuration, flexibility, and a professional look-and-feel. With this intuitive online tool, retailers can help their customers visualise more creative wedding ring options ensuring they never miss a sale."
Earlier this year, The Betts Group presented its vision for the future of wedding rings, focusing on design innovation, material provenance and expanded choice. Highlights included the launch of the Modern Court wedding ring profile and the introduction of full provenance gold alloys, made using two independently verified, provenance-led metals: Single Mine Origin (SMO) Gold and AgAIN Silver.
Rings created using the 3D Wedding Ring Designer are also available in these full provenance gold alloys, including 14ct gold, and are offered with short lead times, consistent quality and genuine traceability across the supply chain.
The Betts Group Managing Director, Charlie Betts, adds,
"By offering premium wedding ring profiles, transparent and traceable sources of precious metal, and now the digital capabilities of the 3D Wedding Ring Designer, The Betts Group is proudly at the forefront of innovation in the wedding ring category. We look forward to working with independent retailers and brands that want to offer their customers a clear, credible and engaging experience at the point of sale."
Existing users of The Betts Group's website can request access to the 3D Wedding Ring Designer.
New customers will be asked to register on the website before accessing the platform.
