Vice Chair Myers Appointed to Federal-State Current Issues Collaborative

Sep 2, 2025, 15:20 by Nicole Garcia

Phoenix, Ariz.- On September 2, 2025, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) announced its appointment of Vice Chairman Nick Myers to the Federal-State Current Issues Collaborative.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and NARUC established the Collaborative in March 2024.

The Collaborative focuses on "electricity sector issues of common interest" and provides "a venue for federal and state regulators to share perspectives, increase understanding, and, where appropriate, identify potential solutions regarding challenges and coordination on a broad range of matters that impact specific state and federal regulatory jurisdiction."

The Collaborative includes all five FERC Commissioners and ten state commissioner representatives, who are nominated by NARUC and confirmed by FERC. The Collaborative holds several formal meetings each year, which are open to the public.

"I'm honored to be selected to serve on the Federal-State Current Issues Collaborative. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of working with FERC and federal partners on a range of critical energy issues," said Vice Chair Myers. "This appointment is an exciting opportunity to deepen that engagement, represent Western states, and collaborate on policies that strengthen our national energy landscape."
