Alpharetta, Ga. - U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock are delivering resources to help servicemembers secure jobs as they transition to civilian life.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock brought Republicans and Democrats together to help Hire Heroes USA expand their efforts to provide in-person employment support to transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses throughout the State of Georgia.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering $520,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
"After making tremendous sacrifices to keep our country safe, veterans should not have to struggle to find work after they leave the military," Sen. Ossoff said. "That's why Senator Reverend Warnock and I brought Republicans and Democrats together help servicemembers secure jobs and transition into the workforce."
"Our service members are the best among us, and in a proud military state like Georgia, we must ensure they have the tools to successfully transition into employment after the military," said Senator Warnock. "I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff on this effort."
"This investment will directly expand access to meaningful employment opportunities for veterans and military spouses across Georgia. Our Georgia Field Team works every day to translate military experience into civilian career success, strengthening families and fueling the state's workforce. We are deeply grateful for this support and the shared commitment to ensuring those who have served our country can continue to serve their communities through meaningful careers," said Ross Dickman, Chief Executive Officer, Hire Heroes USA.
