Mountain View's Mayor to Deliver 2026 State of the City

"Building the Mountain View of Tomorrow Together" to take center stage at annual event

Mountain View, Calif. - Mountain View Mayor Emily Ann Ramos will give a State of the City address on Tuesday, May 19, at the Mountain View Community Center's Redwood Hall, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave. With the theme, "Building the Mountain View of Tomorrow Together," this year's program will highlight recent City of Mountain View accomplishments and updates on the City's financial outlook, advances in affordable housing developments and active transportation, and long-term strategies to improve quality of life.

"From advancing new housing to investing in the spaces that bring our community together, we are actively shaping the Mountain View of tomorrow," said Mayor Ramos. "This year's State of the City is an opportunity to reflect on the progress we've made and to share how we are building a more sustainable, connected, and inclusive community."

Individuals attending in person should reserve their free ticket. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a reception, featuring a dinner buffet. Attendees can also visit City resource tables and learn about opportunities to volunteer, from helping children read to serving on City boards, commissions, and committees. The formal program gets underway at 6:15 p.m. and concludes by 7:00 p.m.

Interpretation services in Spanish and Mandarin will be provided to in-person attendees. Child care for children, ages 5 and older, will be available during the event.
