CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-24 [15.056-15.56] from Crossville city limits to Seventh-Day Adventist Church and School bridge replacement: The contractor has closed SR-24 at LM 15.06 to LM 15.6. This closure will remain in place for the duration of the project. The posted detour is along SR-462 and SR-1. The contractor will be working on general clearing activities and utility work initially. Once initial work is completed, the Contractor will proceed with the replacement of the bridge over the Obed River. Motorists should use caution and utilize the posted detour. CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) bridge construction and paving from north of I-40 (LM 17.8) to near Potato Farm Road (LM 22.7): The contractor continues grading activities throughout the project limits. The contractor has scheduled to close Freedonia Road starting on 04/27/26. A detour will be posted to utilize Maynard Road. Temporary lane closures and/or periodic traffic stoppages will be necessary for construction activities. Flaggers and advanced warning signs will accompany any closures. CUMBERLAND AND FENTRESS COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) widening from near N. Lowe Rd (LM 29.2) to north of SR-62 (LM 1.9): The contractor has shifted traffic to phase 2 on the newly constructed portions of SR-28 LM 0.90 to 1.98 in Fentress County. Work will proceed on the existing alignment of SR-28. Flaggers are being used intermittently as needed to control traffic through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, be aware of new traffic signs and pavement markings, and watch for construction equipment and personnel throughout the project.

DEKALB COUNTY SR-26 (US-70) grading, drainage, and construction of retaining walls and paving from near SR-53 (LM 2) to near SR-96 (LM 6.1): The contractor is continuing work near the intersection of SR-26 and SR-53. During this work, lane closures may be used, and flaggers will be present to facilitate the flow of traffic through the work zone. DEKALB COUNTY SR-26 [15.9-20.3] from Near Old Snow Hill Road to West of Curtis Road resurfacing: The contractor is scheduled to begin sign installation and start concrete curb work within the project limits. During this work, the contractor will have daily lane closures set up to facilitate the work. Motorists should use caution through the work zone, and they should be prepared to stop or slow down as slow-moving traffic is encountered.

GRUNDY COUNTY SR-2 (US-41) TDOT Contractor, both directions from LM 5 to LM 7: TDOT contractor will be doing mechanical brush control along SR 2 up and down the mountain. They will be using a lane closure to perform this work. Start: Thursday, 4/23/26, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Finish: Friday 4/24/26 from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. What: The traffic control subcontractor will shut down the eastbound lane to remove brush going up the mountain and then proceed down the mountain westbound the next day.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction Phase 2: In order to complete final punch list items on this project, the contractor is planning to have ramp and lane closures the night of Thursday, April 23, from 9 PM to 6 AM for replacing/improving lane markings on I-75 South and I-24 West. As part of this punch list work, it will be necessary to temporarily close the entrance ramp from East Brainard Road to I-75 South. The two (2) right (outside) lanes along I-75 South will also be closed, from East Brainard Road to Exit 2 (I-24 West). There will also be two (2) right (outside) lanes closed, along the I-24 West ramp and some outside lane closures along I-24 West to Exit 184 (South Moore Road). Message boards, signs and detours will be provided to warn motorists of all ramp closures and to guide them to the next available exit or entrance ramp. No other ramp/lane closures are scheduled for this period, but the contractor may utilize traveling/moving operations to restripe several small areas of traffic markings on I-75 North and I-24 East to complete the striping portion of the final punch list. HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at the Hamilton Place Mall interchange: The SR-153 southbound ramp to I-75 northbound has been reduced to one lane. Traffic shifts have been implemented on I-75 northbound and I-75 southbound, Shallowford Road entrance ramps, and Shallowford Road exit ramps and Hamilton Place Mall exit ramp. Hamilton Loop Road is closed for retaining wall construction and storm drainage installation between the intersections near Markman's Jewelers and Texas Roadhouse. Beginning 04/27/26 through 4/30/26, the contractor will close 2 right lanes between 8 PM and 6 AM on I-75 SB from MM 8.8 to MM 6.6 for the installation of overhead signs. The contractor anticipates one night for closing two right lanes and one night for rolling roadblocks to mount the overhead signs. The remaining 2 nights are in case of adverse weather. MARION COUNTY I-24 TDOT Contractor westbound from MM 162 to MM 161.4: Big Woody's Tree Service will be performing mechanical tree and brush removal 04/20/26 - 04/24/26 from 7 PM to 6 AM. Contractor SDM Traffic Plan will be closing Lane # 2 in the westbound direction. Eastbound will not be affected.

MARION COUNTY I-24 [137-138.2] from 137 to 138.2 Rockfall Mitigation on I-24 near MM 137: The contractor will be performing rockfall mitigation operations on I-24 WB beginning at MM 138.2 in Marion County. The middle lane, right lane, and right shoulder have been closed. 2 Lanes of traffic have been shifted to flow on the left shoulder and left lane. Blasting will also occur during the weekdays between 9 AM and 3 PM. Blasting operations will require a rolling roadblock. All lanes will be reopened to traffic by May 22, 2026. MARION COUNTY SR-108 [2.8-3.24] slide mitigation: The contractor will be performing slide mitigation operations, including grading, drainage, and paving on SR-108 in Marion County at LM 2.8. REGION 2 Interstate and state route thermoplastic marking re-tracing: The contractor will be placing thermoplastic pavement markings along SR-28 (LM 14.971 - 17.810) and SR101 (LM 18.030 - 26.600) in Cumberland County, Dekalb County SR-26 (LM 6.100 - 10.880), Fentress County SR-28 (LM 10.395 - 16.400), Overton County SR-52 (LM 6.500 - 10.155) and SR-111 (LM 0.000 - 9.370), Putnam County SR-24 (LM 15.710 - 23.723) and SR-135 (LM 7.380 - 9.750), and White County SR-1 (LM 7.700 - 8.700). REGION 2 The on-call cable barrier repair on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor will have short-term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform cable barrier rail repair. These closures will take place daily, Monday through Friday, during daylight hours on the interstates and some major divided highway state routes. There may also be nightly Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 6 AM, rarely and only as needed. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times. REGION 2 The on-call guardrail repair and new guardrail installation on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor will have short-term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform guardrail repair. These closures will take place on the interstate nightly Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 6 AM and daily Monday through Friday on state routes. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times on the interstate, and flaggers will be present on state routes during any work that is performed. These operations will occur at night between 8 PM and 6 AM for interstates and high traffic state routes, while daytime sweeping can be anticipated between 9 AM to 3 PM for lower traffic state routes.
