Shareholder Justyna Wilczyńska-Baraniak and Team Join Greenberg Traurig Poland and Form Tech, Cyber, IP and Data Practice

WARSAW - 18 May 2026 - In a further step to deepen its sector expertise and reinforce its position as a leading advisor in the market, Greenberg Traurig, a globally recognized law firm, proudly announces that Shareholder Justyna Wilczyńska-Baraniak has joined its Warsaw office along with her core team of six to lead the firm's newly established Tech, Cyber, IP and Data Practice in Poland.

The launch of the new practice underscores the rapidly growing strategic importance of cybersecurity, data protection, artificial intelligence, defense and the transfer of innovative technologies to clients operating in regulated and dual-use environments. It also positions Greenberg Traurig at the forefront of the legal market's response to the EU's evolving digital and security regulatory architecture, including the AI Act, the NIS 2 Directive, the Data Act and the Digital Operational Resilience Act.

Justyna brings more than twenty years of experience advising Polish and international clients on intellectual property, advanced technologies, data protection and cybersecurity, with particular depth in complex, multi-jurisdictional and highly regulated transactions. She has led patent litigation and unfair competition disputes for over a decade and regularly advises on enforcement, risk strategy and dispute resolution in technology-driven matters.

Justyna Wilczyńska-Baraniak is joining Greenberg Traurig with her team of six lawyers. The new practice will work closely with the firm's established Intellectual Property and Technology team. Together, they will combine expertise in intellectual property and technology with a dedicated focus on cybersecurity, defense, new technology transfer, AI and data protection. This new structure is designed to enable the expanded team to operate in a fully complementary manner and to generate meaningful synergies and deliver exceptional client service.

"Warsaw has been at the very center of our European story for over a decade, and our team there has consistently shown that we grow best by adding the right people, not just by adding numbers. Justyna and her team are exactly the kind of addition we are known for - top tier lawyers in the areas where the market is moving fastest and where our clients are facing the questions that will redefine the next decade of their businesses. Building this dedicated practice in Warsaw, alongside our long established top tier practice areas, reflects how Greenberg Traurig has always grown - from a position of strength, on the ground, with empowered leaders who know their market well and as one unified firm serving clients across CEE and around the world," said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig's Executive Chairman.

"The creation of the Tech, Cyber, IP and Data Practice is a deliberate response to where our clients' most pressing legal needs are heading. Cybersecurity, IP, AI and data protection are no longer adjacent to the core business of our clients. They are at the heart of it. Justyna's arrival lets us bolster these competencies to meet the heightened expectations of our clients at the level of a top-tier international firm," said Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Managing Partner of Greenberg Traurig in Poland.

"We are delighted to welcome Justyna Wilczyńska-Baraniak and her team to Greenberg Traurig. Her expertise, market standing and ability to build and lead a dedicated practice in these critical technology and regulatory areas will be of significant value to our clients and to the firm. The launch of the Tech, Cyber, IP and Data Practice marks another strategic step in the consistent growth of our Warsaw office and of our technology-related advisory capabilities, which are crucial to all of our core market leading practice areas," stated Lejb Fogelman, Senior Partner in the Greenberg Traurig Warsaw Office.
