On Saturday, October 10, Huntington Cancer Center breast cancer patients put on their dancing shoes for its annual survivor celebration. The pink ribbon-themed party and group activities focused on wellness and connection during breast cancer awareness month.
The event featured a lively cardio dance class, provided in partnership with RadNet, and a chance for survivors to socialize and celebrate survivorship. Later, Huntington Cancer Center physicians and specialists hosted an interactive question-and-answer session during a panel discussion, addressing the concerns and questions patients may face during and after treatment, and the latest advancements in breast cancer treatment
While breast cancer conversations often focuses on diagnosis, treatment and survival rates, Huntington's celebration shined a light on what comes after, and what it means to live well during and beyond cancer treatment. The event gave patients an opportunity to connect with one another, get moving, ask Huntington Cancer Center experts questions directly and celebrate the milestone of survivorship.
