June City Star of the Month Anja Miller | Legal

Anja has worked for the City of Bismarck for six and a half years, starting in 2018 as a legal assistant. She successfully manages a wide range of responsibilities. She administers the City's insurance program and facilitates the annual auction. She manages the online publication of City ordinances and is the main administrator for the office's case management program. She does more for the office than can be listed.

Anja has been working with other City departments and outside entities on managing a huge project with the case management system. This project has taken years and a lot of patience. She is always quick to offer to help with any task and has a lot of knowledge about City processes. Anja maintains a professional and courteous manner with other employees and those who call the office or stop at the window. She consistently contributes to a positive team dynamic.

"Anja is a key employee in the Legal Department and in the City as a whole," said Julie Mees, City Attorney. "I appreciate her breadth of knowledge and expertise and rely on her every day."

City Star of the Month is an initiative launched by City of Bismarck staff. The program rotates through city departments, highlighting an employee who demonstrates dedication to public service and exemplary performance. Honorees are nominated by their department director or supervisor based on their merit and contributions in their role.
