Be A Part Of Making A Difference – Join The Council

Seeking individuals to elevate the voices of people with disabilities and promote the Independent Living Philosophy.
• What we do: We elevate the voices of people with disabilities. We break down systemic barriers to inclusion and integration through advocacy. We work to enhance the ability of Idahoans with disabilities to live independently, direct their lives and strengthen their communities.
• Who we are looking for: Dedicated, passionate community members from every region of the state across disabilities.
• Time Commitment: The Council meets quarterly (online January and July, in-person in Boise April and October).

The SILC is recruiting new members for the following positions:
• Adults with a disability-Region 2 (Latah, Nez Perce, Clearwater, Lewis, and Idaho Counties)
• Adults with a disability-Region 3 (Adams, Washington, Payette, Gem, Canyon, and Owyhee Counties)
• Adults with a disability-Region 6 (Butte, Bingham, Bannock, Bear Lake, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida, and Power Counties)
• Adults with a disability-Region 7 (Lemhi, Custer, Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, Madison, Teton and Bonneville Counties)
• Disabled Young Adult (age 18 to 26) from any region STATEWIDE
• Adults with a disability-At-Large from any region Statewide
