Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan Ma Qiang Meets with the Incoming Chairperson of CTSAMVM Maj. Gen. Teshome Anagaw

On July 7, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan H.E. Ma Qiang met with the Chairperson of CTSAMVM Maj. Gen. Yitayal Gelaw and incoming Chairperson Maj. Gen. Teshome Anagaw.

Maj. Gen. Yitayal Gelaw stated that over the years, the Chinese government has provided CTSAMVM with steadfast political support and uninterrupted personnel and funding assistance, fully demonstrating China's image as a responsible major country. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to China on this occasion.

Maj. Gen. Teshome Anagaw noted that the institution has long faced severe challenges including funding and staffing shortages, making China's unwavering support crucial. As the incoming Chairperson, he pledged to spare no effort in playing an active role in achieving lasting peace and development in South Sudan.

Ambassador Ma Qiang commended the important role of CTSAMVM in peace process of South Sudan, emphasizing that  China has always been providing financial and personnel support for the institution to perform its duties. The Chinese Embassy looks forward to collaborating closely with the incoming Chairperson and stands ready to actively support his duties, continuing to make positive contributions to advancing political transition process of South Sudan .
