Charges Filed Against West Sacramento Man after DUI Collision that Resulted in the Death of Davis Woman
(Woodland, CA) - January 28, 2026 The Yolo County District Attorney has filed charges against 28-year-old West Sacramento resident, Kanwal Sahil, after a collision that occurred on January 25, 2026, in West Sacramento, that resulted in the death of a Davis woman.
Sahil has been charged with one count of Gross Vehicular Manslaughter While Intoxicated, and one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs Causing Injury, with enhancements for a high blood alcohol level, infliction of great bodily injury, and engaging in violent conduct that indicates a serious danger to society. Sahil will be arraigned today, at 1:30 pm am in Dept. 1 of the Yolo County Superior Court.
