Vesteda secures five-star GRESB rating as sustainability performance continues to improve

AMSTERDAM, 2 October 2026 - Vesteda has once again achieved five stars, the highest possible rating, in the annual Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB). This places Vesteda among the top 20% of participating real estate funds worldwide.

In recent years, Vesteda has taken active measures to improve the sustainability of its entire residential portfolio. High-quality data forms the foundation for this work. Vesteda has insight into the energy consumption and CO₂ emissions of almost its entire portfolio, and this is reflected in the results: water consumption and CO₂ emissions of the homes are declining.

International recognition
Vesteda's strong GRESB performance follows another international achievement. Earlier this week, Vesteda received the BREEAM Award in the In-Use Performance category in London. The two are closely linked: Vesteda's portfolio-wide BREEAM certification contributes to its GRESB score and supports a targeted approach to sustainability improvements.

We will continue to install solar panels on our homes free of charge, and since this year we also provide home batteries at no cost. In addition, we are phasing out gas connections across the portfolio wherever possible. These measures will help us further reduce CO₂ emissions as we work towards achieving a Paris Proof portfolio by 2045."
