The City has started the process of hiring the next Fort Worth Police Chief. Staff are actively working with Mosaic Public Partners to conduct the search for qualified police executives to serve the City of Fort Worth as the next Police Chief. They're also seeking community feedback on what qualities and priorities the next Police Chief should have.

What's next: Your confidential input, along with that of other community members and members of the Fort Worth Police Department, will be considered as part of the overall selection process. Because we value your input and respect your time, we have kept the survey brief. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete. The deadline to submit the survey is Friday, May 16.

Go deeper: The search for the next Police Chief will take place over the coming months and will include opportunities for further community engagement with finalists for the position. The City aims to have a selection made in August. In accordance with the City's hiring rules, the City Manager is responsible for making the final determination of who will serve as the next Police Chief.

Fort Worth's current Police Chief, Neil Noakes, will retire in May after more than 25 years of service to the City of Fort Worth.
