NIOSH's Mobile Occupational Safety and Health Unit will be in your area soon to conduct black lung screenings. All coal miners are encouraged to stop by the mobile unit and participate in this free health exam. The exam takes about 30 minutes and includes a health questionnaire, a chest x-ray, blood pressure screening, work history, and spirometry test.
Miners are urged to call 1-888-480-4042 to schedule an appointment.
NOTE: If you have participated in the NIOSH Program within the past 3 years, you will NOT be eligible to receive a chest radiograph at this time.
